FA Cup and Premiership match tips

Arsenal vs Burnley

All of a sudden Arsenal are in with a realistic shout of taking the Premiership title from under the noses of top teams Manchester United and Chelsea. Nothing other than a win over second-from-bottom Burnley will do for the Gunners.

With so much at stake, and Arsenal’s severe injury problems notwithstanding, you’d expect the boys to come out all guns blazing at the Emirates. A high scoring game is therefore a near certainty.

Improve your returns on an Arsenal win with an over/under bet, an Arsenal clean sheet or Arsenal to win both halves. That said, the brave among you might be tempted by the draw at nine-to-one.

Best bet: Over 3.5 goals @2.0 Bet now

West Ham vs Bolton

The Hammers have hit a mini run of form of late and are looking increasingly strong at home as well as dangerous in attack. With Carlton Cole back from injury and having enjoyed a run out for England mid-week, you could do worse than tipping the big man to score.

Bolton’s strike force, which includes Johan Elmander, has been less impressive of late managing only a couple of goals in 720 minutes of football, including Zat Knight’s strike which saw Bolton beat Wolves on Saturday.

But the Trotters have a great record against The Hammers in recent times, most recently exemplified by a 3-1 at home in December. Bolton’s man of the moment Chung Yong Lee is also looking an increasingly dangerous prospect.

Best bet: West Ham clean sheet @2.5 Bet now

Fulham vs Tottenham

Meanwhile in the FA Cup one of the tightest fixtures sees Fulham entertain Tottenham at Craven Cottage. Fulham are famously strong at home having won nine of their 14 Premier League home matches, while Spurs are a little wobbly on the road with only five wins out of 14.

It’s probably not a good idea to back a Fulham for the win, however; Tottenham have lost only four on the road and drawn five in the Premier League this season. Laying Spurs on Betfair might be a preferable option.

Best bet: The draw @3.4
