Man Utd v Chelsea (1245 BST)

Man Utd have suffered a massive blow after losing top scorer Wayne Rooney to injury. It means Dimitar Berbatov will definitely play and maybe Federico Macheda, who made such an impact on the title race last season, could be involved.

Seemingly there are no such worries up front for Chelsea, who have rattled in 12 goals in their last two games.

But it will be close - I can see this being a draw. And I think that would be acceptable for United, who will want to absorb the loss of Rooney and ensure they do not lose to their title rivals.

Prediction: 1-1

Arsenal v Wolves

Arsenal may still be a bit shell-shocked after coming up against the sheer brilliance of Barcelona in their Champions League tie in midweek. The Spanish giants did to Arsenal what the Gunners normally do to Premier League opposition and that was to only occasionally lend them the ball to play with.

Wolves have been on a very, very good run and have gone four games without defeat after kicking on in the last month. But I think that will come to an end here as I feel Arsenal - even though they have a few key players out injured - will be too strong.

Prediction: 2-0

Bolton v Aston Villa

We are all waiting to see how Aston Villa will react after their 7-1 thrashing by Chelsea. Manager Martin O'Neill said he had never seen them play so badly. Their response will gauge how good they are as a team, because the top sides come straight back after a defeat (a mauling in this case) and win their next match.

Bolton are slowly but surely getting used to manager Owen Coyle's methods and the way he wants them to play. Even in the loss to Man Utd they created a lot of chances.

It will be interesting to see the outcome of this one as both managers will be looking for a reaction from their team after heavy defeats.

Prediction: 1-1

Portsmouth v Blackburn

Blackburn are safe from relegation now, thanks to their excellent home form, so maybe they will be winding down a bit.

Pompey are bound to have one eye on their FA Cup semi-final against Spurs next weekend and it would not surprise me to see their players a little less committed to any 50-50 challenges. The hosts are also without Herman Hreidarsson and Tal Ben Haim is struggling.

It could be a low-key match.

Stoke v Hull

New Hull boss Iain Dowie guided his side to an excellent - and deserved - victory against Fulham last time out.

He has clearly got his players working extremely hard and they are responding to what he is doing with them on the training ground.

But Stoke have shown how difficult they are to play against at the Britannia Stadium. And they have also demonstrated they have the resources and knowhow to despatch teams of Hull's stamp.

Prediction: 2-1

Sunderland v Tottenham

Tottenham's results have been excellent of late, particularly if you consider the key players who have been missing. Roman Pavyluchenko has come in and scored goals, as has Peter Crouch, while David Bentley has been playing well.

Sunderland had a good spell but they were taken apart by Liverpool last Sunday, and there was really nothing they could do about it.

Spurs will be desperate to win and boost their fourth place hopes - particularly as they face the toughest of runs after this with games against Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd.

Prediction: 1-2

Burnley v Man City (1730 BST)

City got back to winning ways in midweek when Carlos Tevez scored a hat-trick against Wigan and that will definitely have boosted their confidence.

Burnley are in danger of being cast adrift in the relegation zone. They felt that refereeing decisions went against them in the defeat by bitter rivals Blackburn - and that will not have helped their mood.

City will have their tails up and, with nothing else to play for, they will be concentrating all their efforts on trying to secure fourth place in the table.

Prediction: 0-2

SUNDAY

Birmingham v Liverpool (1500 BST)

Birmingham stuck at it last week against Arsenal and got their reward with a late goal that earned them a point.

Before that they had lost a few games and it provoked manager Alex McLeish into fielding a more defensive formation - five across the middle, with one up front - which made them difficult to beat.

I expect them to line up that way again to try to negate the threat of Fernando Torres, who is in blistering form. His return from injury has sparked Liverpool's revival and it underlines their massive mistake in going into the season without a replacement for him.

Prediction: 0-0

Fulham v Wigan (1500 BST)

A lot will depend on how Fulham come through their Europa League tie against Wolfsburg - particularly if they pick up any injuries.

Fulham have a chance of creating history and their focus will be on trying to crown an outstanding season with some European silverware.

I don't know what the Spanish is for 'Jekyll and Hyde' but Wigan boss Roberto Martinez must have felt his side have resembled a footballing version. Their inconsistency all season will have been a source of huge frustration for him.

Prediction: 1-1

Everton v West Ham (1600 BST)

With West Ham under tremendous pressure after six consecutive defeats, I can understand why manager Gianfranco Zola opted to give the players a few days off. Getting them away from the ground and from each other might see them return refreshed.

The trouble for the Hammers is Everton have been one the form teams in the Premier League over the last couple of months and they have some real quality in their side.

Everton have nearly all their players fit and you have to fancy them to win this at Goodison.

Prediction: 2-0
